The Center For Story & Symbol has been dedicated to exploring the intersection of mythology, psychology, and personal growth since its founding. Our mission is to provide advanced educational opportunities for mental health professionals and individuals interested in archetypal perspectives. Led by psychologist Dr. Jonathan Young, a former collaborator of mythologist Joseph Campbell and founding curator of the Joseph Campbell Archives, we offer seminars and workshops that meet continuing education requirements for psychologists, therapists, educators, and other professionals. Our programs examine the therapeutic applications of folklore, fairy tales, and modern media through a depth psychology lens. With both live and home study formats, we emphasize accessible learning while maintaining rigorous academic standards. Our team includes specialists like Anne Bach, who brings expertise in expressive writing therapy to our offerings. Through lectures, consultations, and organizational trainings, we continue to expand understanding of how mythic narratives shape human experience.
