Your Local Community Theater & Youth Arts Hub
Founded in 1963 by three television writers, Theatre Palisades has been a cornerstone of community-driven live theater in Pacific Palisades. Our organization was established to produce original plays and has since evolved into a membership and subscriber-driven institution dedicated to artistic excellence. Over decades, we've provided high-quality productions in various venues before securing our permanent home at the Pierson Playhouse in 1988. Our youth program, TP Youth, launched in 2000, offers children grades 3-9 immersive theater experiences that foster creativity, discipline, and community bonds. We maintain rigorous production standards evidenced by professional-grade sets and technical execution. As a nonprofit, we rely on community support and patron donations to sustain operations and rebuild after recent challenges. Our mission extends beyond performances to include educational outreach, community partnerships, and creating safe spaces for artistic expression. With a 125-seat theater, we host five major productions annually alongside chamber music concerts and historical society events. Our volunteer-driven model engages families in all aspects of production, from costumes to set construction. The Actors' Troupe (TPAT) provides ongoing acting workshops and community outreach programs. Through decades of operation, we've maintained financial accessibility through reasonable pricing and scholarship opportunities. Our commitment to the Palisades community remains unwavering as we work to rebuild and continue delivering transformative theater experiences.
