Grace, Discipleship, and Love in East Denver
Lowry Community Christian Church was founded in 1975 as part of the Lowry Air Force Base Chapel Program in Denver, Colorado. Originally established to serve individuals seeking more robust worship experiences, the congregation transitioned into an independent church in February 1994 after the base closure. Our mission emphasizes evangelism, discipleship, and community through biblical teachings and active engagement. We prioritize fostering a family-oriented environment where members grow spiritually and contribute to outreach initiatives. With over 45 years of service, we remain committed to equipping individuals for active relationships with Jesus Christ. Our leadership, including Senior Pastor Scott Sangster since 2018, guides a diverse congregation through worship, education, and compassionate ministry. We believe in the authority of Scripture and the transformative power of faith in daily life. Our history of perseverance through relocations and challenges reflects our dedication to unity and spiritual growth. Today, we continue serving East Denver from our permanent home at 855 Yosemite Street, focusing on grace, discipleship, and love as core values.

Sunday Worship
Our weekly Sunday worship service at 10am combines traditional and contemporary elements to create meaningful worship experiences. Through scripture reading, hymns, modern worship music, and practical sermons, we aim to connect biblical teachings to everyday life. The service typically lasts 90 minutes and includes opportunities for prayer, fellowship, and spiritual growth.
Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry engages children and teens through age-appropriate Bible teaching, interactive activities, and character-building programs. From Sunday School classes to youth group gatherings, we focus on developing strong spiritual foundations while creating safe spaces for questions and growth in faith.
Bible Studies
Weekly Bible study sessions explore scripture in depth through verse-by-verse analysis and practical application. These small group settings allow for discussion, personal reflection, and deeper understanding of God's word, with studies tailored for different age groups and spiritual maturity levels.
Outreach Programs
Our outreach initiatives connect church members with local needs through food distribution, neighborhood support, and partnership with Denver-area organizations. These programs embody our commitment to practical Christianity and serving others in Jesus' name throughout East Denver.
Prayer Groups
Small group prayer meetings provide opportunities for intercession, spiritual support, and corporate prayer. These gatherings focus on personal prayer needs, church ministries, and community concerns, fostering spiritual connection and reliance on God's guidance.
