Hobbs Door Service

Hobbs Door Service was founded in 1966 with a vision to deliver quality garage doors and professional service that set new industry standards. Over nearly six decades, we've evolved from a regional supplier to a trusted leader in residential and commercial garage door solutions, serving Hampton Roads and beyond. Our commitment to excellence began with founder Cletus L. Hobbs, who recognized the need for specialized garage door expertise during an era when competitors treated doors as secondary products. Through major construction booms in the 1970s and 80s, we expanded our offerings to include commercial overhead and rolling steel products while maintaining our residential focus. In 1980, we served over 200 home builders and developed our CedarCraft wood door line, which remains durable in coastal environments after 45 years. Adapting to market changes in the 1990s, we shifted emphasis to installation, service, and repair while maintaining manufacturing excellence.

Today, our family tradition continues through Cletus' three sons and experienced technicians who uphold our founder's three principles: better products, better service, and 100% customer satisfaction. As IDEA-accredited professionals, we combine 50+ years of experience with cutting-edge solutions for garage door openers, safety checks, and repairs. Our reputation for doing every job right the first time has earned industry-leading customer loyalty ratings. From traditional stamped steel carriage house doors to modern composite systems, we ensure every installation meets our stringent durability standards. Our annual maintenance programs and 1-year repair warranties reflect our commitment to long-term customer relationships.
