Celebrating Latino Arts & Culture in Omaha
El Museo Latino opened its doors in 1993 as the first Latino Art & History Museum and Cultural Center in the Midwest. Our mission is to collect, exhibit, and interpret Latino arts of the Americas, strengthening the artistic and creative culture of the Greater Omaha Area. We present permanent and special exhibitions spanning Pre-Colombian to contemporary works, alongside educational programs for all ages. Our bilingual initiatives include art classes, workshops, lectures, and dance performances by our resident company, CHOMARI Ballet Folklorico Mexicano.

We host annual events like the Cinco de Mayo Celebration and Hispanic Heritage Month, offering bilingual guided tours for groups and collaborating with local schools to enhance curriculum through art. As one of only seventeen Latino museums in the U.S., we prioritize accessibility, community engagement, and cultural preservation.
