Your Home for Faith, Service, and Community
We are a community of faith rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, with nearly 2.7 million members across 8,400 worshiping communities in the United States and the Caribbean. Our identity is shaped by grace through faith, as we gather around God's word and sacraments to live out our baptismal calling. We emphasize reconciliation with God and others, guided by the Lutheran tradition of proclaiming Christ crucified and risen for the world. As an ecumenical church, we actively seek unity among Christians while respecting diversity in history, culture, and language. Our mission extends beyond walls to serve neighbors through daily vocations, addressing systemic injustices and prioritizing marginalized communities. We walk by faith in God's promises, trusting the Holy Spirit to sustain this liberated and generous faith through preaching, sacraments, and healing conversations. Our work encompasses education, moral deliberation, interfaith dialogue, and global partnerships to build a just and reconciled world where God's love flows through us into all aspects of life.
