Welcome to Holy Trinity Church in Overland Park, KS
Founded in 1917 by Russian immigrants, our parish has evolved from a small Russian-speaking congregation to a vibrant English-speaking community in Overland Park, Kansas. We relocated to a larger temple in 2002 to accommodate our growth, which now includes over 170 adult members and more than 100 children. Our clergy, including Very Reverend Timothy Sawchak and Very Reverend Christopher Rowe, bring decades of theological education and pastoral experience to our community. We prioritize preserving ancient Orthodox traditions while making them accessible to modern worshippers through English-language services and educational resources. Our ministries focus on spiritual growth, community outreach, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The church's iconography, created in the Novgorod style by Fr. Theodore Koufos, enhances our worship environment. We actively support global and local Orthodox initiatives, including youth camps and mission work. Visitors consistently describe our congregation as warm and welcoming, with many finding their spiritual home here after years of searching. Our commitment to authentic Orthodox practice remains unwavering, while our approach to community engagement continues evolving to meet contemporary needs.
