Lloyd Library Cincinnati
Established by the Lloyd brothers in the late 19th century, our institution has evolved into a globally recognized research library and museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing the intersection of science, art, and history. With over 250,000 volumes and artifacts spanning botany, pharmacy, and medical history, we serve as a vital resource for scholars, artists, and the public. Our collections include rare books dating to 1493, medicinal artifacts, and extensive archives documenting the evolution of plant-based medicine. As a nonprofit organization, we provide free public access to our resources while offering specialized research fellowships and artist-in-residence programs.

Our exhibitions, such as the George Rieveschl, Jr. History of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Exhibit, highlight groundbreaking scientific advancements. Through digitization initiatives and community engagement programs, we continue to bridge historical knowledge with contemporary research needs while maintaining our Cincinnati-based legacy as a cultural and educational institution.
