William Donohoe opened The Shipping Shack. In 2005 after he survived a life-threatening brain injury. A tumor was found at the base of his brain. It was just one of a series of medical problems that resulted in several operations and his placement on medical disability. Knowing that he could no longer go back to work with Fed Ex where he served for 19 years, Donohoe founded The Shipping Shack. With aid from the Hawaii Center For Entrepreneurship. Donohoe developed his business plan and was approved for a grant.
