A Temp Heating & Cooling

The professional who visited our home was MATT, and I would definitely want him to return if we need services again. He explained his work in a clear and understandable manner. MATT has a pleasant sense of humor, which made the experience more enjoyable.

He also took the initiative to do some extra work on a different piece of equipment in our home. MATT worked efficiently and quickly, completing his tasks steadily. I have no hesitations about requesting his services again if we need them in the future, and I am completely satisfied with the work he did.

I think we got really lucky with ATemp. I meant to call the folks who installed our furnace, but for some reason, the penguin stuck in my head, and I called Atemp instead. Turns out the penguin is named Tux.

We were sent Philiop the first time we had a problem with our furnace. It turned out really lucky, because we have a Trane unit, and Philip used to be a Trane tech. I guess they're a persnickety sort of furnace/heat pump, so a lot of techs won't work on them. So we lucked out.

Philip was extremely thorough, and a great, personable human being. My wife and I liked him enough to request him back when the AC unit went on the fritz and he spent a lot of time trying ot dignose the problem.

In the end, since the problem wasn't clear, he gave us detailed instructions on how to monitor for problems, potential things we could do to help allieviate the problem (AC unable to keep up), and told us to call and ask for him specifically once we'd gathered data, and he'd be happy to do all he could.

Then we moved into September, temps dropped, and everything's fine. Go figure.

So unlike a lot of folks, we've had a good experience, even if it didn't result in a fixed heat pump/AC unit, and we always ask for Philip.

I have used another company for many years because it's just the one that my parents used. Recently I saw system tuneups on a friend's page and I asked what they were doing, he said that just like a cars carburetor, as they age they sometimes need adjustments to keep the system as functional as it should be and told me about ATemp.
I have been having trouble breathing inside my house over the past couple of years and didn't know what was causing it...
So I call, set an appointment, and Brian shows up, takes my system apart like I've never seen, sends a color scope up inside my exchanger and he and I are looking at rust holes, and delamination in the walls, part's almost looked like wet corrugated cardboard while other parts of the same wall looked normal, and rust stains running down the walls. I asked about replacing the exchanger, so he calls my other company on speaker phone and asks them, they tell him with the remaining balance of the warranty it would cost me 2300...
Okay, so then he shows me my burners, they look rusty and have had plenty of water dripping off of them. That's more money, then we go to my heat pump, which I just had filled in August, it's bone dry... I have a much larger leak than my other company let on.
I chose to go with a new system with a warranty... that was yesterday, today they are here installing my new system. Could I afford it right now, no, but I don't want to be uncomfortable in my own home either (lung problems from leaking gasses) and ac during the summer. They have a very nice payment plan that is reasonable.
If you suspect that your system isn't working correctly call ATemp and ask for a system check, you won't be sorry.
