Music Director and Conductor, David Itkin provides a season of audience favorites featuring several of the greatest works ever written. From the opening note of the very 1st piece performed back in 1950, Beethoven's Egmont Overture to the closing aerial artistry of Cirque de la Symphonie, the 60th Season of the Abilene Philharmonic will be a magical experience.

read moreWe have resumed classes in the Abilene Philharmonic office on the first floor of the Wooten Hotel, and have also added a 4:30 class. We are continuing to wear masks and fastidiously sanitizing instruments between each students' turn with them. Please contact Abigail Payne (abigail@abilenephilharmonic.org) for more information about registration, tuition, and any other questions you have. This program is a part of the Philharmonic's Academy of Music initiative to reach students of all ages beginning as early as infancy.

read moreThe Abilene Philharmonic's TicketReach program enables youth and members of our underserved community the opportunity to experience a live professional symphonic orchestra concert at no cost. Tickets can be requested by individuals or by a group, and upon this request the Abilene Philharmonic will provide the desired number of tickets free of charge. Specific criteria and guidelines have been created to ensure the maximum benefits are extended to our patrons. Previous participants in the TicketReach Program include public and private schools, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Boys and Girls Club, Noah Project, Disability Resources, and Dyess Air Force Base families.

The Intern will work closely with all APO staff and provide support. Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project based work. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of standard office practices. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative when appropriate. Writing/proofreading skills and an understanding of the English language (both written and oral) are required.

Best known for her role as Christine in the Las Vegas production of The Phantom of the Opera, Kristen Hertzenberg has proven her ability to sing anything in her concerts, from opera to Broadway to blues.
