CIS was established on April 16, 2002 by Mike Nichols and Kevin Self, two lifelong friends who always had a dream of owning an elite commercial HVAC firm. It has been a story book tale of events since inception. Mike and Kevin expected to be relatively tiny and were not sure how a new service firm in such a huge market would be accepted. Starting from Mike's garage the firm grew beyond what the owners or anyone else expected in a very short period. Mike and Kevin are very hesitant to take any of the credit for success; they owe it all to the people within the business.
