I learned to repair fine quality furniture and antiques over the 13 years that my wife and I owned Adele Hunt's European Collectibles on Slocum Street in the Dallas Design District. On my forty plus buying trips to Europe I would often come across antiques that needed restoration. The condition would be reflected in the price and I would buy them and then do the restoration work once the container was received at my antique shop in Dallas. We also started to offer new furniture to our clients and I often would need to give these pieces attention due to freight damage or minor scratches and dents from being on our showroom floor.
