Jacob and Josephine Porter started in the cleaning business in early 1951 at our previous location shown above in Hammond. In 1968, Jacob and Josephine retired and the three sons took over; Floyd, Jim, and Mel Porter. Through this change, Jim branched out and kept what is still in operation today, Porters. The fourth generation of the family, Nick Porter, manages and operates the company today.
