American Waste Removal. AWR) is a family run & operated grease trap service firm situated in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was began in 1974 with Greg Jarvies assuming ownership in 1981. In 1988, the State of New Mexico closed the last remaining legal grease disposal facility, the Albuquerque landfill, and the search for recycling alternatives started. Since grease is a relatively high energy material, AWR decided to start concentrating and purifying it using a proprietary process.
