Animal Emergency Center

The Animal Emergency Center was established in 1977 as an overnight emergency clinic serving pet owners and veterinarians in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. In 1984, it became one of the nation's 1st 24hr emergency and critical care referral centers. The Center was originally situated in a house on Appleton Avenue and moved to the West Florist Avenue location in 1988. In 1991, veterinary specialists in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and surgery were added to the staff of veterinary care-givers.
