The aim of Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability is to advocate for and to aim to reach a system of services that enables older persons and persons with disabilities the opportunity for an independent and productive lifespan. This is accomplished through three primary areas of emphasis: Advocacy, Service, and Planning. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009 with the intent to stimulate economic growth, create or save millions of jobs, enhance our residential renewable energy capacity.
