The Arkansas Allergy Clinic was set up in 1930 by Alan G. Cazort, M. D. Considered the Father of Allergy in Arkansas and one of the pioneer clinical allergists in the US. His association with the clinic ended with his death on August 14, 1986. Dr. Cazort was born in Lamar, Arkansas, one of eleven kids. Upon his graduation from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, he took clinic apprenticeships in the offices of experts in the area of allergy, as formal allergy teaching programs were uncommon at that time.
