About Us
read moreOur mission, as a Catholic educational community, is to prepare students academically, spiritually, and morally for the opportunities and responsibilities of the future. Assumption High School is a Catholic high school located in Davenport, Iowa. On September 10, 1958 the doors opened to this Catholic co-institutional facility, as a result of the merger of St. Ambrose Academy for boys and Immaculate Conception Academy for girls. At an initial cost of $2.4 million, Assumption High School would have never been possible without the support of Bishop Ralph Hayes and the 12 parishes within Scott County in 1958: Holy Family, Our Lady of Lourdes, Sacred Heart, St. Alphonsus, St. Ann, St. Anthony, St. Henry, St. James, St. Joseph, St. Mary, St. Paul the Apostle, and St. Peter.
Tuition
read moreThe parish supported tuition rate is available to families who have confirmed membership in a local supporting parish. Through the tithe of their members, supporting parishes provide $700,000 of annual support to Assumption. When a parish-supported family has more than two children attending Assumption during the same school year, only the first two children are charged tuition. This rate is available to local families who are not members of a local supporting parish. Annual: $80 discount may be taken if tuition is paid in full by July 20.
