All kids attending Assumption School participate in daily Religious instructions, say prayers and attend various Religious functions. Through daily Religion lessons and liturgical functions and Christian service, we aim to supply our students with opportunities for deepening their religious experience. It is the privilege of Assumption School to prepare kids for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. The reception of a Sacrament brings special blessings on the whole family, home, school, and parish. Families with kids (grades second - eighth) seeking to receive these Sacraments need to inform their classroom teacher.

read moreAssumption is now a dream-come-true for East Los Angeles kids interested in music. Our curriculum is the same as one of the great choir schools of Europe, but in modern American style. Our choir children sing "from Gregorian to gospel, " and our instrumentalists play classical, folk and popular music. We currently teach classical guitar, violin, violoncello, string bass, and light percussion. Our children have a special concert specialization, the presenting of the music of early Spanish California.
