Wife and husband, Dana and Patricia Austin, opened the Shop nearly three decades ago. Dana studied under Tschu Ho Lee at the Chicago School of Violin Making, while Patti taught the Suzuki Method. Over these past three decades, an extensive inventory has been acquired from private and worldwide venues. We currently have worked towards building long-term relationships with dozens of schools and orchestras throughout the Chicagoland area, I have worked with Austin's Violin Shop for over twenty years.

They will take the time to get to know your old, damaged or neglected instrument and use their craftsmanship to make it sing again. See below for a list of services. Loaner instruments and bows are available for players who have instruments in our Shop for restoration work.
