read moreSign up for swim lessons at an Australian Swim School! We combine the latest teaching techniques with the Aussie philosophy of squeezing every drop of fun out of every day. Our class routines emphasize group movement, technique development, and utilize verbal, visual, and tactile corrections from one of our trained instructors. The Australian Swim School is a current charter member of the United States Swim School Association (USSA) as well as their first ever Chairman of Infant Swimming. In 2000 the USSA awarded us the the Guiding Light Award for our influence on the baby swim industry and in 2007 the organization inducted us into the Hall of Fame for our contributions to baby and infant swimming lessons.
About Us
read moreIn 1977, John Bainbridge opened the first Australian Swim School in Fountain Valley, California, after finishing his thesis about infant swimming. With a couple of Instructors and our trademark infant back floating method, we were off and swimming, educating Orange County about the dangers of infant/toddler drownings as well as the wonderful rewards of swimming for health and fitness. In time, our floating babies advanced into super smart swimmers that paved the way to the O.C. competitive swimming scene.
