If you don't have a tailor's measuring tape on hand, simply use a ribbon or piece of string and line it up against a ruler. If possible, get a friend to help. With arms relaxed at your sides, measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Measure around your waist at the narrowest part of your torso. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and one finger between the tape and your body.
