Before opening the business, he spent twenty five years as a musician, playing Jazz and Classical bass.

read moreThe Bass Violin Shop opened in 2001 in a small workshop in Greensboro, NC. In 2011 wepurchased and renovated a 3,000 square foot building on the northwest edge of downtown. With ourspacious showroom, you will always find a good selection of laminated, hybrid and carved basses. Staffed by three full-time, highly skilled bass luthiers, the BVS specializes in double bass sales, set-up, restoration and repair. Over the years we have built our reputation by offering qualityinstruments, knowledgeable service, reliable repairs and superior restorations at affordable prices.
