I have been involved with martial arts for twenty-four years as both a student and an instructor. I began training in Los Angeles when I was seven and was exposed to more than a dozen schools in both southern and northern California. Best Martial Arts Institute is the finest school I have seen. As is traditional, the school takes its name from its head instructor, Sensei Best, but the name is quite fitting. BMAI provides a congenial environment where students train hard, both physically and mentally, to achieve their individual life goals while learning self-defense. The school offers classes in several arts, from the karate/ taekwondo program to judo and aikido. BMAI also hosts seminars and special events that allow students' exposure to even more styles, while promoting friendship among the various schools in the Pacific Northwest.
