Pilates
read moreWe offer Private, Duet, or Group Pilates Equipment sessions. At FITNESS By Design we use the STOTT V2 Max Plus Reformer. Joseph Pilates constructed the original reformer from a bed frame, mattress springs, and ropes while living in a World War I internment camp. He called it the "bednasium" and used it to help immobilized soldiers strengthen their bodies. The modern reformer has retained the look of a narrow bed with a sliding platform, or carriage, made more or less resistant by adding or removing springs.
Classes
read moreCommit to our classes two to four times a week in the studio or virtually and you'll see results! Participating in a yoga or strength training class is one of the most enjoyable and effective ways to get fit! All fitness levels are welcome. Various intensity levels are shown for every exercise. Class sizes are just 4-10 clients, so you'll always receive plenty of personal attention and instruction. Our setting is positive and nurturing and our goal is to build your confidence and allow you to challenge yourself safely.

Many people start yoga for the practice of poses and stay for the benefits of better sleep, less stress, fuller breaths, and more joy in addition to a stronger and more flexible body. In our small nurturing classes, we combine knowledge and experience in a gentle yoga practice utilizing time honored yoga postures to bring you into vibrant, sattvic balance. Sattva is a sanskrit word for tranquility, wholesomeness, harmony, lucidity and light. It is a state of being which comes from purity of mind and leads to an awareness of our connectedness to all things.

read moreMany of our clients enjoy the benefits from the combination of private Personal Training/Pilates sessions and group classes. You can schedule Personal Training/Pilates sessions with a trainer and complement those sessions with Yoga, Pilates, Barre, and Strength Training classes. All services are paid for in advance or on the day of service. You can pre-purchase packages or drop-ins for all of our services (private and group) online through your MINDBODY account or the App. If you prefer not to log in and purchase on your own, then we can process your CC for you and email you a receipt.
