Neil Miller and Tony Ferguson established Border Concepts. BCI) in the fall of 1990 in Charlotte, North Carolina as a steel landscape edging systems manufacturer. By 1993, BCI was shipping its steel edging nationwide. Based on its growing acclaim, BCI introduced Iron Edge galvanized steel paver restraint in 1994 and started establishing itself as The Green Industry's Manufacturer. In 1996, BCI introduced its 1st decorative wrought iron products, Classic Plant Stands, Deck Drapes and Shooks (Shepherd Hooks) which grew into the high end, decorative Wrought Iron Collections (WIC) line.
