In 1960 John Brann Sr. Opened the 1st John Brann's Steakhouse in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where the famous Sizzling Steak got its beginning. John wanted to ensure that families could go out to eat and get a great meal at a great price. The idea caught on because they were selling 800 Sizzling Steak dinners on Saturday nights! WOW! After noticing how successful their father was, several of the family wanted to get involved. John's eldest son, Tommy Brann was the 1st.
