Brass Rail

The Brass Rail originally opened in downtown San Diego in the early 1930s and moved to the Hillcrest area in the 1960s. The bar has gone through many changes throughout the years but has always been known as the oldest gay bar in San Diego. From the early days of gentlemen having to put all hands on top of the bar when police would come through with flashlights to our modern day mix of clientele, The Brass Rail has always opened it's doors to all walks of life.
