Bricko Farms

Organic Food Store in Augusta, GA
Organic Food Store in Augusta, GA Bricko Farms made its start in 1977 with Compostost? Breakfast for Flowers, a compost we make on a giant scale. We're the biggest commercial custom compost production site in the Southeastern US. Even though we turn out 1000's of tons per year, our organic plant food is produced using the same trusted method experienced gardeners have made at home for years. We just have a larger pile. Gardeners who visit us down on the river confess to acute envy attacks when they see our operation.

He wanted an all-purpose mix to condition the soil or plant directly into without a lot of extra work. It should work well for most all plants, vegetables, shrubs, trees; turf and roses should love it, too. Other ideas were gathered from Horticulturist, Tom Rapp of Aiken, and Rosarian and Judge, Paul Blankenship. Of course Bricko Farms would make it at a lower price than the traditional planting product most people know as potting soil.

But, also as in nature, you keep trying and you find a way. Something starts, and then shifts and expands over time, with innovations and changes you might not expect. The key in remaining alive and thriving is to recognize which of the surprises is one to stick with, or to let go. Even at the start, the idea of a making a business out of compost brought the unexpected.
