He received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and served a fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the LSU Eye Center in New Orleans under the world renown Herbert E. Kaufman, M. D. Upon his return to Mobile, Alabama, he was the 1st corneal and refractive surgeon in the area. Since that time, his refractive surgery has evolved to the present state-of-the-art Wavefront guided custom LASIK procedure.
