The elected board is here to help advocated for parent, children, and staff needs. All community members are invited to participate in PTA events, including the bi-monthly evening PTA meetings focused on school and community related discussions and monthly morning coffee chats with the principal. We are both a neighborhood school and open to students outside the neighborhood through the PPS School Choice lottery process. Visit the Buckman School main website for the schedule of tours for families who live outside the Buckman neighborhood. In addition to attending a tour, you will need to complete a School Choice Application and submit it to the PPS Enrollment & Transfer Center. Students living in the Buckman neighborhood, as defined by Portland Public Schools, do not need to fill out a School Choice Application, but they must contact the Buckman office to indicate their intention to attend Buckman.
