Cannons - Purveyors of quality seafood for over 70 years. Cannons family obsession for quality foods started in the early 1900's when my great-grandfather, Joseph (Joe) Cannon, 1st delivered milk by horse-drawn wagon, then opened the Congressional restaurant on B St, S. E.the site that is now known as Independence Avenue) until the great Depression, then sold fifty cent home cooked pies at Union Station, and finally found his niche when he opened a seafood business in 1937 at the Municipal Fish Market on Water St.later known as Main Avenue) in Washington D. C.
