Carlson Construction Company has been a family name for 75 years beginning with my grandfather, S. O. Carlson in the early 30's. Oscar founded the original Carlson Construction Company as a commercial building firm. His work included many of the buildings along the Truman Road corridor. His last job was James Campbell Ford on 40 Highway in Blue Springs. He passed away before he could complete the job at which time, my father, Kenneth L. Carlson and my uncle, Lindley A. Carlson stepped in and completed the job.
