Your credit union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, which was granted a charter December 14, 1937. The credit union was established by employees of Hanes Hosiery Mills for thrift and prudent loans. Since opening our door in 1938, Hanes Hosiery Mills Credit Union has grown considerably and had a couple of name changes. But the original aims of thrift and prudent loans still guide the credit union. Profits are returned to members in the form of higher dividends on savings and lower interest on loans. The credit union is governed by a member-elected board of directors.
