Charleston Acting Studio

The League of Charleston Theatres was established in the summer of 2005 by five leading local theatres after a joint trip to Chicago funded by the Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation. In Chicago, these theatres saw 1st hand how The League of Chicago Theatres had helped and continues to aid give Chicago the reputation it has today as one of the top theatre producing cities in the world. The Chicago Five came back with a new perspective on how to promote Charleston's own vibrant theatre scene both nationally and locally and foster communication between producing firms.
