read moreThe Community Health and Social Services (CHASS) Center, Inc., is a community-based, not for profit organization formed to develop, promote, and provide comprehensive, accessible and affordable quality primary health care and support services to all residents of the community, with special emphasis on the underserved African-American and Latino population. CHASS is committed to the overall well-being of the community. We strive to improve the health of the entire community. That's why most of our classes and events - all part of our Healthy Living Programs - are free and open to everyone!
About Us
read moreCHASS was established nearly 50 years ago in response to the closing of several community hospitals in Southwest Detroit and the subsequent flight of medical professionals to suburban practices. In 1970 Hispanic leaders negotiated the first-ever joint venture with local and state public health officials and CHASS began providing limited medical services to the uninsured and underinsured populations of Detroit. We're looking for dedicated people who love to work in a fast paced environment and want to engage people in being healthier.
