read moreNow known as the CACFP, this federal funding administered by CCDS provides aid to family or group day care homes. The funding allows for the provision of nutritious foods that contribute to the wellness, healthy growth, and development of children from 6 weeks through 12 years old. As the single largest sponsor of the CACFP in family child care homes in Oregon, thousands of children received more than 4.3 million meals and snacks in 2016 through the efforts of the CCDS program. CCDS distributed $ 6.7 million to providers and received $700K for administering this program.
