Our mission is "responding to the cry of a child, " and the vision guides us as we work to offer children safe, happy childhoods: that all children have homes where hope is kindled and dreams can be achieved. This is our work, and they are ALL our children.

Unfortunately, not every child in our community has a good experience during the period from birth to adulthood, and that's where we come in. During the last century, our legacy has grown far beyond just "saving" children-we work passionately and creatively to meet the needs of children and their families. In the face of abuse and neglect, this work can sometimes be daunting, but the rewards of success-a child's carefree grin, a teen's sense of value-make the journey well worth it.

Child Saving Institute's Early Childhood Education program provides nurturing care in two state-of-the-art facilities that are safe, conducive to learning, and respectful of each child's individuality. Our child care sites-located at CSI at 4545 Dodge Street as well as at the Spellman Child Development Center, managed by Child Saving Institute, on the College of Saint Mary campus-offer a unique "neighborhood" philosophy for children ages six weeks to six years, providing your child with a sense of community and a place to belong.
