Children's Safari Learning Center

Childcare Services in Mesa, AZ
Childcare Services in Mesa, AZ Our Learning Center has a Safari Theme capitalizing on the early years of a child's life being an adventure. Each age group is segregated into his or her own room combined with a safari animal (ex. Infants will be enrolled into the Joey's room, one year olds will be in the Koala room, etc) Each caregiver is referred to as a guide as they will be guiding the kids through many of their 1st experiences. To ensure parents comfort with their child's development, there are bi-annual guide/parent conferences, as well as daily reports, to consider our observations of their child's behavior and experiences.

We will help them bring their imagination to life by providing flexibility in the curriculum to focus on what the children are interested in as we prepare them for kindergarten. This age group will also learn to work in larger groups. Although the ratios of students to teachers are still lower than the state requires, children of this age will be in the largest classroom with the most children. We will provide simple games with rules so your child can learn the basis of cooperative play and as always, continue to give them lots of love, fun, approval and encouragement.

Teachers will introduce a more structured environment but will still focus on self-directed learning and play to meet the individual needs of each child. Areas of focus will be spelling their names, beginning writing, cutting with scissors, music, gym, etc. Studies have shown that 95% of a child's brain is formed within the first 3 years of life, so in this year we will spend time on many different topics and expose the children to as many diverse experiences as possible.
Caring for Infants
read moreJoeys: 6 weeks to 12 months and walking Studies have shown that infants feel more secure and develop better when in an environment with routines balanced with individual needs. What we want the Guides to do in this classroom is to get down on the floor, play with and love on these babies! Koalas: 12 months and walking to 2 years At this stage children practice what they see and experience. This environment will be structured where the Koalas can enjoy imitating and playing, and where Guides can assist them through behaviors they do not yet understand (sharing, taking turns).
