read moreDr. Thomas Chopp was raised in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1984. He served in the Air Force as a flight surgeon for four years caring for military pilots and their families. He then completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in 1995 and went on to provide orthopaedic surgical care for the Air Force at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. Dr. Chopp then completed specialized fellowship training at the Hughston Sports Medicine Foundation in Columbus, Georgia in 2000 with selected emphasis on shoulder surgery and received the Hughston Shoulder Certificate.
