Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 4 - 18. Since its establishment in 1981 in San Diego California, CYT has expanded to be the biggest youth theater in the nation. There are affiliates throughout the country training 1000's of students a year. CYT is a non-profit 501(c)3) educational organization funded primarily through its tuition, ticket sales and outside contributions. Every session (fall, winter and spring) CYT offers theater arts classes for kids as an after-school activity.

Affiliates across the country offer classes in drama, music, dance, technical theater, and more! Each local program offers camps and classes for ages 4-18, and full-scale productions for ages 8-18. CYT classes include drama, voice, dance, and a broad spectrum of other specialty theatrical workshops. There are three ten-week sessions a year (Fall, Winter, and Spring), and a showcase at the end of each session that allows students to show off what they have learned to family & friends.

CYT has many programs in place that foster theater arts in the community and we'd love for you to take part in the various initiatives that CYT has going on. The 1st CYT National Talent-Thon took place from April 22nd - June 20th, 2020. Hundreds from across the nation shared their talent with CYT and 15 Grand Prize Winners won a virtual Meet & Greet with Film Director of Crazy Rich Asians and In the Heights, Jon M. Chu! This nationwide fundraising event benefited ALL CYT's around the country, as CYT celebrated 40 years of character building through theater arts.
