Chula Vista Yacht Club
Boat Dealer in Chula Vista, CA
The Chula Vista Yacht Club started in 1889 when the San Diego Land and Town Co. Provided the new settlers of Chula Vista, most of them farmers, with a waterfront park to use for social gatherings. The Club, situated at a makeshift landing at the undeveloped foot of F street, used the S part of the bay for their racing and sailing area and often sailed over to the Brickyard Cove (now Coronado Cays) and Glorietta Bay at Coronado for picnics. The members of the original Club built Chula Vista One Designs, the biggest one-design boat fleet on the Pacific Coast.
