For over seventy years, there has been a public library in Denton. Though modest at 1st, it has evolved into a three-branch system that houses over 240, 000 items, supplies free access to computers, and recently starting circulating over 1, 000, 000 items per year to its patrons. Supported by City Council and Denton residents, the library will continue to expand and develop, and serve the expanding population of Denton. The Denton Public Library enriches and advances the community by delivering quality materials and services of educational, informational, cultural and leisure value.
