Clearwater High School was one of the 1st high schools in Pinellas County. The school opened its doors in 1906 to a 9th-grade class consisting of three people. It moved to its current location in 1954. Clearwater's current enrollment is more than 2, 100 students. A $12-million renovation project was completed at the current site in 1999. Clearwater's motto is Tradition, Honor and Pride. Clearwater is backed by a community that is loyal to the school. The community has raised the money to build its fine facilities at the swimming pool and the football stadium.
