Construction Hardware Co was set up in 1963 by seven former employees of Union Hardware and Metal Company, an old founded California Company with distribution throughout the state. Union Hardware sold a huge range of building material, hardware, housewares and steel products. Included among the many departments at Union Hardware was a contract hardware division. In 1960, Union Hardware elected to close their doors and liquidate their assets.
