Dr. Strathman was born in Manilla, Iowa, in 1946, and moved with his parents to San Bernardino, California when he was just two years old. He remembers vividly enjoying catching lizards and bugs, from the family back yard and keeping them as pets, always mindful of their need for food, water, and shelter. His natural instinct for the care of animals has been present since he was a young boy, and he continues to share this quality with his customers today. He attended San Bernardino Valley College, for two years, where he met his wife, Judie.
