The Country Antique Fair Mall opened its doors in Saugus on July21, 1979. This was in the early days of the Mall concept of providing the public an opportunity to do their antique and collectible shopping under one roof. It was a plus to vendors as a means to sell their merchandise to the public without the need for them to do the selling. In the beginning there was space for 55 dealers, but in 1985 the mall expanded to the current size of 12, 000 sq ft. And space for over one hundred dealers.
