CZR's certified wetland delineators follow procedures described in the 1987 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual. Our delineators use their training and experience in field botany, soil science, hydrology and sampling procedures, as well as the federally-approved wetland delineation methods, to determine and document where the wetland lines are.

Our staff is adept in summary water sampling and analysis, and continuous monitoring of surface and groundwater. We have conducted water quality studies in mid-Atlantic and southeastern states and in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands) and South America.

read moreWe are frequently contracted to develop wetland management plans for created or restored wetlands as permitted for mitigation. CZR is currently involved in several wetland monitoring and maintenance projects throughout the southeastern United States. Wetlands that were constructed under permits from federal, state, and local regulatory agencies are required to be monitored regularly, maintained free of exotic species, and have reported results of successful establishment of a functioning wetland plant and animal community to meet permit conditions.

read moreCZR has extensive experience in environmental mitigation and ecosystem restoration. CZR has been involved in mitigation site design, construction supervision, and monitoring for nearly 30 years. During that time, we have had a central role in the restoration of over 5,750 acres of wetlands in the southeastern United States. Individual restoration sites have ranged in size from less than an acre to over 2,000 acres. We have restored a variety of different wetland types, including bottomland hardwood forest, wet hardwood flat, freshwater marsh, lacustrine wetlands, mangrove wetlands, and salt marsh.
