In our many years in the tanning bed business, we currently have found that there are basically two kinds of domestic or home tanning beds; cheap plastic beds, and salon strength metal beds. DarkerTan has sold both kinds of domestic tanning beds through the years. What we currently have found is that our tanning bed clients prefer to have a durable, all metal, tanning salon quality bed for their home. While it is true that you can buy a home tanning bed for less money, the poor tanning power, plastic construction, and substandard reliability are not a fair tradeoff.
